Rainbow Technologies Inc.'s (NASDAQ:RNBO) Internet Security Group (ISG), an industry leader in the development of high performance cryptographic security solutions, and Maithean, a leading provider of secure solutions for electronic commerce, Monday announced the integration of Rainbow's CryptoSwift with Maithean's NetPay Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) Payment System.
Rainbow's CryptoSwift and Maithean's NetPay together provide a comprehensive end-to-end SET payment solution for financial institutions, merchants and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Maithean has integrated Rainbow's CryptoSwift with its entire NetPay product suite including NetPay Wallet, NetPay Merchant, NetPay Gateway and NetPay Certificate Manager. The company uses CryptoSwift as a solution to accelerate SET, a credit card payment protocol developed by Visa and MasterCard that enables the secure use of credit cards over the Internet.
Rainbow's CryptoSwift is a PCI card that installs into the bus of a server computer and contains a high-speed "public key" math co-processor which off-loads and accelerates security operations from a server's main processor. Using patent-pending technology, the product provides the necessary cryptographic functions to accelerate SET, SSL, PCT and other security protocols.
Maithean is a leading provider of secure solutions for electronic commerce, electronic data interchange and on-line transaction processing. The company offers a variety of highly scalable, standards-based applications for Windows 95, Windows NT and Unix platforms.
