The NetPay Billing System is an integrated bill presentment and management system. The system provides significant cost savings to businesses and added convenience to customers. It enables businesses and financial institutions to securely provide their customers with electronic versions of their bills over the Internet or via direct dial access. The system which operates in conjunction with industry standard web browsers allows consumers to interactively view their bill in a variety of summary and detail formats. Upon review and acceptance of the bill, consumers initiate immediate electronic payment via a variety of supported payment mechanisms such as EFT, credit card, debit card, electronic draft check or e-cash. When used in conjunction with the optional NetPay Wallet, consumers can locally store, search, sort, annotate and aggregate detailed billing data over any period of time. The billing and payment data stored in the wallet can be transferred to Quicken or Money. The NetPay Billing Server includes a comprehensive enterprise call center that provides fully integrated customer service and administration functionality for credit-return authorization and tracking, transaction management and report generation. The system is based upon the OFXv1.5 protocol and supports X.509v3 digital certificates for strong identification and authentication of the consumer and secure transmission of data over the Internet. The NetPay Billing System supports both the 'direct billing model' with the billing server deployed at the merchant as well as the 'billing aggregator model' with the billing server supporting multiple merchants deployed at the billing service provider (e.g., bank). The NetPay Wallet and the NetPay Call Center applications are smartcard enabled for enhanced functionality, convenience and security. The NetPay Billing Server supports hardware based cryptography and key management for enhanced security and performance. The NetPay Billing System can operate as a standalone system or in conjunction with NetPay Payment System and NetPay Banking System.
